Manual and tabletop tray sealers
Compact machines for sealing preformed trays in the bakery, butcher’s shop, central kitchen or restaurant. Choose between manual tray sealers with an output of 450 trays/hour and no special installation, and tabletop tray sealers with gas flush, modified atmosphere (MAP) or vacuum skin to extend product shelf life.

Manual tray sealers
4 models
Four manual sealing models for preformed trays. The operator places the tray and starts the seal; the machine seals the film and rewinds the waste automatically. Temperature adjustable from 0 to 240 °C with a digital display and automatic constant-temperature control. They run on 220 V / 50 Hz (or 110 V / 60 Hz) at 500 W.
- NEX-175 and NEX-175D (duplex): 175 × 123 mm sealing area, for small trays and single portions.
- NEX-225 and NEX-225D (duplex): 205 × 135 mm sealing area, for medium trays and ready meals.

Tabletop tray sealers with gas flush, MAP and skin
3 models
When the product needs a longer shelf life, a tabletop tray sealer adds protective gas or vacuum without moving to an automatic line. All three share film up to 270 mm, a PLC touchscreen, interchangeable moulds with a 5–10 minute format change and fully electric operation, with no compressed air.
- NEX-271: gas flush (N₂ or N₂+CO₂), 5–6 cycles/min.
- NEX-272: modified atmosphere (MAP) with a built-in 20 m³/h vacuum pump, 2–3 cycles/min.
- NEX-273: MAP and vacuum skin on the same machine, 20 m³/h pump, 2–3 cycles/min.

Indicative data. Cycles per minute are not packs per minute: actual output depends on packs per cycle, the product and the materials. The final configuration is confirmed in the quotation.
How to choose your manual tray sealer
- Tray size. Measure the outside of your tray: the NEX-175/175D seal up to 175 × 123 mm and the NEX-225/225D up to 205 × 135 mm. The tabletop units use made-to-measure moulds for square, round or irregular trays.
- Shelf life you need. Seal only for same-day consumption or takeaway; gas flush (NEX-271) or MAP (NEX-272) for fresh products sold over several days; vacuum skin (NEX-273) for meat, fish or cheese with a premium presentation.
- Daily volume. Up to 450 trays/hour on manual units; if you need more or want to feed a line, move up to semi-automatic and automatic tray sealers.
- Installation. The manual units only need a socket; the tabletop units are fully electric and need no compressed air.
Applications
Frequently asked questions
What is a manual tray sealer?
A machine that closes preformed trays with plastic film, applying heat and pressure to the rim. On manual units the operator starts each seal; tabletop units automate the cycle and can add gas or vacuum.
What is the difference between a manual and an automatic tray sealer?
On a manual unit the operator places the tray and starts the seal (up to 450 trays/hour). Automatic tray sealers feed, seal and discharge trays continuously and are integrated in line. See all tray sealers.
What is modified atmosphere packaging (MAP)?
Replacing the air in the tray with a gas mixture (usually N₂ or N₂+CO₂) before sealing, to extend the shelf life of fresh products. The NEX-272 and NEX-273 draw a vacuum and flush with gas; the NEX-271 flushes with gas without a vacuum pump.
What is skin packaging?
The film takes the shape of the product like a second skin, thanks to the vacuum. The NEX-273 does it (as well as MAP). Find out more about vacuum skin packaging.
Can I use my own trays?
Yes, as long as they fit the model’s sealing area. On tabletop units the mould is made to fit your tray and changes in 5–10 minutes. Send us your tray model and we will check it.
Do they need compressed air?
No. The manual units run on 220 V at 500 W and the tabletop units are fully electric.
